A flight instructor and a student have been taken to a local hospital after being involved in an incident north of Fort Rucker that Army officials described as a "hard landing" of their OH-58 A/C helicopter.
Fort Rucker spokeswoman Jennifer Stripling said the incident occurred at about 3 p.m. Tuesday and involved a helicopter and crew from Fort Rucker, where Army helicopter pilots are trained.
Stripling said the instructor and student were taken to an area hospital for evaluation. Their names and conditions were not immediately released.
