Tracy Slater, black female, 22 years of age, of Birmingham, Alabama was arrested and charged with Third Degree Robbery with a $15,000 bond.
On November 29, 2011 the Dothan Police Department responded to a strong armed robbery at T.J. Maxx. Security employees stated the suspect, Tracy Slater, entered the business and began concealing items in her purse. Security members attempted to detain Slater after she exited the store without paying for the items and a physical altercation ensued. The security officer was unable to detain Slater who bit and struck him, then fled. An alert patrolman in the area heard the call in progress and responded to the area, locating and detaining Slater who was later charged with robbery.
