Lee County Coroner Bill Harris reports that Opelika police received a call around 10:47 a.m. Saturday morning of a possible human skull that had been found.

Upon arrival at Brook Haven Trailer Park off of  Hurst Street,  officers located what is believed to be the partial skull  of a child  believed to be in the 5- to 7-year-old age range.
No other remains have been located at this time.  The case remains  under investigation by the Opelika Police Department  and the Lee County  Coroner’s office.
