The missing child alert distributed by the Alabama Department of Public Safety on behalf of Tennessee authorities says:
A West Tennessee Endangered Child Alert has been issued for the Hardin County Sheriff's Department for 13 year-old Leeann Weaver. Leeann is a Native American Indian. She is 5'4" tall and weighs 119 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing an orange University of Tennessee Volunteers shirt and blue jeans. Leeann also wears braces. She was last seen in the company of her father 61 year-old Lee Weaver. Weaver assaulted Leeann's mother and fled with the child. He is a Native American Indian and has black hair and brown eyes. He is 5'10" tall and weighs 250lbs. Weaver was last seen driving a gold newer model Chevrolet Malibu with an Ohio license plate. The car is a rental vehicle. He was last seen on Hwy 57/25 in Hardin County, Tennessee at approximately 4:25 p.m. Weaver is believed to be armed with a baseball bat. He is possibly in route to McIntosh, Alabama or the Indian Reservation in Atmore, Alabama. His route of travel may be through Tupelo, Mississippi.
