Foley, Ala. judge charged with sexual abuse

FOLEY, Ala. (AP) — The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office is investigating a sexual abuse case involving Foley Municipal Court Magistrate Joseph Frederick Bischoff.
The 64-year-old Bischoff surrendered on Tuesday after being accused of inappropriately touching a girl under the age of 16.
Bischoff has been charged with second degree sexual abuse. He was released on $6,000 bond and resigned from his magistrate position.
Authorities say the child was a family friend of Bischoff.
