Woman arrested for Burglary after homeowner wakes and recognizies her

Bobbie Burns, black female, 49 years of age, of East Lafayette Street was arrested and charged with Second Degree Burglary with a $5,000 bond.

The Dothan Police Department Investigative Division has made an arrest following a brief investigation which began after police responded to a residential burglary in the 400 block of East Lafayette Street. The home owner told police he woke up at approximately 3:00 a.m. and immediately saw a woman he recognized as Bobbie Burns in his bedroom. He stated that she entered the residence through a bedroom window and left through the front door after rummaging through the residence and taking a small amount of cash. Burns was arrested for burglary bringing the case to a close.
