17-year-old kayakers found alive in Mobile Bay

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — Two 17-year-old kayakers have been taken to a hospital after Alabama Marine Police found them in Mobile Bay.
A family friend says the two teens were found just before midnight on Monday about two miles south of Gaillard Island.
The friend says the teens' kayak was gone and they were being treated for exposure and possible hypothermia.
The Coast Guard and other crews began searching Mobile Bay for the teens Monday afternoon.
Friends told WKRG-TV  the teens are experienced kayakers and are lifeguards.
