Scottsboro man charged with making meth and marijuana possession

SCOTTSBORO, Al.
A Scottsboro man was arrested by Jackson County deputies Friday on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of marijuana, a Sheriff's Department news release said.

Alan Ray Whitley, 55, was charged with manufacture of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, the release said. He was in Jackson County Jail Saturday with bond to be set.
Sheriff's narcotics investigators and deputies found two "one pot" methamphetamine labs and chemicals and other items associated with making methamphetamine at home on Joy Drive. They also found "a small amount" of marijuana and methamphetamine residue, the release said.
