On February 27, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a theft in progress at Wiregrass Commons Mall. Upon arrival, police quickly determined the nature of the theft would likely require felony warrants being signed and as a result requested juvenile investigators. Upon arrival, investigators learned the original call involved four black females working together to commit theft.  Three of the four suspects had been detained, one was an adult, and two were older juveniles. Upon further investigation it was learned that the group had stolen from at least four retailers within the mall. The suspects were interviewed and confessed to stealing multiple items with the intent on selling the items. Investigators arrested all three suspects charging them with first degree theft after proving there was a conspiracy of a common plan to steal with one or more people.
