One person killed and two others wounded outside Birmingham club

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama --One person was shot to death and two others wounded outside a western Birmingham club early this morning, Birmingham police report.
Officers from the West Precinct were called to 1105 3rd Avenue West about 2:35 a.m. today on a report of a person shot, Birmingham Police Sgt. Johnny Williams said in a prepared statement.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim lying on the sidewalk unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound, Williams said. Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived and pronounced the victim dead.
Officers later learned that a fight had occurred in the parking lot as patrons exited the club, Williams said. Two additional victims suffered non life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Diane Latresse Moss, 32, of Birmingham, was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting at 2:46 a.m. today, said deputy Jefferson County Coroner Bill Yates.

No arrests or charges have been filed in the case.
Birmingham police ask that anyone who has information about the shooting call the department's homicide unit at 254-1764 or Crime Stoppers at 254-7777.
