Dothan Police Department involved in a multi-agency homicide investigation

The body of  24 year old Jarvis Daffin of Dothan was recovered last night in Henry Co. Daffin is a native of  West Palm Beach, Fl. , but has been living in Dothan and working at Church's Fried Chicken. It it suspected that he is a victim of foul play stemming from the theft of an Income tax refund. There are investigators from multi - agencies conducting the investigation and the Dothan Police has taken the lead role.
 
Dothan Police released the following statement:

The Dothan Police Department is involved in a multi-agency homicide investigation. Our agency would like to assure members of the media, more information regarding this case will be forthcoming, however the investigation is in a crucial stage which could be negatively affected if either of the following occur; members of the media release incorrect information, or members of the media release footage of locations “assumed” to be involved.

As you all are well aware, our agency has worked diligently to improve the amount of information we offer to all of you in media, as evidenced by the number of press releases you all now receive along with the availability of a full time public information officer for sound bite and interview purposes. In order to continue this positive relationship, we ask that you consider that there comes a time in some investigations where our focus MUST remain on the integrity of the case.

At this time we can confirm our agency is involved in a homicide investigation but have no further details to release. Police are asking anyone with information about the case to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.
