Montgomery's first homicide of 2012

MONTGOMERY, Al.

A 46-year-old man was shot multiple times early Saturday morning and died, police say.

Capt. Mark Drinkard said police were called to 101 N. Haardt Drive where they found Gary Blackwell, 46, of 141 Turner Place, Montgomery, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Drinkard said via press release: "At this time it appears Mr. Blackwell was involved in an unknown type altercation."

It is Montgomery's first homicide of 2012.
