The Dothan Police Department Traffic Division responded to a critical collision involving a vehicle and motorcycle just before 9:00 p.m. on January 25, 2012. The crash, which occurred in the 1400 block of Westgate Parkway, has now claimed the life of sixty-three year old James Edward Thompson. A preliminary investigation revealed Thompson was traveling southbound on a Yamaha Roadstar when a Ford F150 pulled into the pathway of the oncoming motorcycle causing a t-bone collision. Thompson of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries of February 4, 2012. The Dothan Police Department would like to extend our thoughts to the Thompson family during their time of loss.
