Woman charged with manslaughter in Sullivan Avenue slaying, Mobile police say

MOBILE, Al.
Brinishia Anquiese Green
A 21-year-old woman surrendered this evening on a manslaughter charge in connection with the stabbing death Monday of a 17-year-old male acquaintance, Mobile police said.

Brinishia Anquiese Green of Mobile was taken to Mobile County Metro Jail, according to jail records. She was booked shortly after 7:30 p.m.

Green was charged in connection with the death of Antonio Devon White at the Imperial Court apartments at 764 Sullivan Ave., according to police spokesman Cpl. Christopher Levy.

While Levy did not elaborate on the exact relationship between Green and White, he did say that the two were not dating. He said that White had been visiting at her apartment when the stabbing incident occurred about 6:21 p.m.

Green was taken to the University of South Alabama Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead of a stab wound to the chest, Levy said.

Evidence from the case was presented today to the Mobile County District Attorney’s office, and once a determination to charge Green was made, the DA’s office contacted her about the charges, Levy said.

Green surrendered later in the day, he said.
