Dothan Police investagating murder at Primetime club, seeking information

On January 22, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a fight involving multiple people at Primetime, 230 East Powell Street at 3:17 a.m. While responding, officers were updated approximately ten shots had been fired. Seconds later that information was further updated to a firearm assault. Upon arrival, police found the victim, Anthony Robinson, lying in front of the club suffering from a gunshot wound in the chest. Robinson was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to the injury a short time later.

Upon arrival, police say Primetime was declared a crime scene. Officers began a diligent effort that continued throughout the day and night to document patrons present during the shooting as well as collect and photograph evidence. Police have now conducted over fifty interviews and served numerous search warrants of vehicles present at the club.

Police are not releasing any information regarding the progress of the case, however investigators have stated the handling of such a large scene involving many people has been conducted very thoroughly and is expected to have a significant impact on the outcome of this homicide investigation.
