Mobile police arrest man for shooting into house, car

MOBILE, Al.
Police arrested a man for shooting into an occupied residence and into an unoccupied vehicle, officials said today in a news release.
Police did not say why the shots were fired.

Daniel O'Rourke, 29, of Theodore, remains in Mobile County Metro Jail charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling and discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle and reckless endangerment, police said. A combined bail for O'Rourke is set at $11,500, records indicate.
Police responded at 3:08 a.m.today to the 2200 block of Boykin Road for a call about gunshots being fired in the area. When officers arrived, they learned that a man identified as O'Rourke had shot into a house and a Toyota Camry, officials said.
The gunman had been last seen heading toward Alba Club Road. Officers stopped O'Rourke at the Shell gas station at Dauphin Island Parkway and Cedar Crescent Road, police said.
