According to a statement from the Auburn Police Division, police arrested Jeremy B. Davis, 25, of Opelika, and Jermichael L. Hart, 25, of Auburn, on warrants charging both with first-degree possession of marijuana. Hart was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police stopped a Chevrolet pickup in the 1700 block of Shug Jordan Parkway. Police say a strong odor of marijuana led to a search of the vehicle. Police found a half-pound of marijuana, a digital scale and $2,300 in cash. Some of the marijuana was individually packaged for sale.
Davis, the driver, and Hart, a passenger, were arrested and taken to the Lee County Detention Center. The bond was set at $3,000 on Davis and $4,000 on Hart.
