Jefferson County sheriff's deputies raid suspected electronic bingo hall in Lipscomb

LIPSCOMB, Al.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the state attorney general's office, this morning raided a suspected bingo hall in Lipscomb and seized about 80 illegal electronic gambling devices, a sheriff's official said.
The raid happened about 11:05 a.m. at a building in the 6500 block of Avenue K in Lipscomb, according to a statement from Jefferson County Chief Deputy Randy Christian.
The raid was the result of an undercover investigation, and gambling search warrants were obtained, Christian said. The business was operating under the name of Beulah Bell Lodge Bingo #49.
No one was in the building at the time of the raid, and no arrests have been made, but the investigation is ongoing, Christian said.
