Attalla, Al.
An Attalla couple have been charged after a man was beaten and robbed at his home on Seventh Avenue on Friday, Attalla Police Chief Lamont Tucker said.

Tonja Elizabeth Ellis, 38, and Walter Dale Davis II, 31, on Monday were charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary, Tucker said.
Ellis allegedly went to the home of a 55-year-old man she knows and he let her inside.
About 30 seconds after he let her inside, Davis allegedly forced his way inside and began beating the man, Tucker said.
The couple used packaging tape and bound the man’s arms and legs and covered his mouth, while continuing to beat him.
Davis then allegedly beat the man with a large flashlight, then he and Ellis ransacked the house.
A DVD player, camcorder, digital camera, wallet, cell phone, keys and prescription medication were taken.

The man also was threatened with a knife.
The man was limping badly and had cuts and bruises all over his body when he went the Attalla Police Department to report the robbery.
Chief Investigator Dennis Walker was called and information during the investigation led to the arrests early Saturday of Ellis and Davis at a home on Fifth Street. The couple recently had moved in to the home together, Tucker said.
