Sunday accident claims life of Troy man

TROY, Al.
A single- vehicle crash that killed a Troy man in Pike County on Sunday is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers .
Troopers said in a news release the crash occurred at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Pike County 3345, one-half mile east of Alabama 167. James Larry Johnson, 62, of Troy ran off the road and struck a tree when he lost control of the 2006 GMC Sierra truck he was driving. Johnson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Coroner Jerry Williams.
