Alabama Gov. Bentley still owes on game bet with Louisiana Gov. Jindal; Bentley has an idea

Birmingham, Al.

Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley
A bet is a bet, and Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley said Monday he still owes Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal the payoff for their wager on the Alabama-LSU heartstopper on Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.

Since the Crimson Tide fell to the No. 1 ranked Tigers 9-6 in an epic defensive struggle, Bentley must deliver to Jindal a special from Rama Jama's, a T-town eatery -- the massive 13 National Championships BLT, loaded with 13 strips of bacon.

And Bentley told the Birmingham Business Alliance on Monday that, yes, he intends to pay up: "We're gonna put some bacon on it, and we're gonna make it greasy!"

Bentley called the match-up "a great game" but added: "Too bad the best team didn't win."
