Tuscaloosa woman charged with killing her brother

TUSCALOOSA, Al.
A Tuscaloosa woman was charged with killing her brother after being arrested by Tuscaloosa police early Saturday morning.

Officers were called to 1809 Queen City Blvd. at 2:58 a.m. on a report of an assault and located a woman with a kitchen knife coming out of the residence, Tuscaloosa County Homicide Unit commander Capt. Loyd Baker said.

The woman, Lizzie Minor, 30, told officers that she had killed her brother, Bobby Minor, and told them to arrest her, Baker said.

Bobby Minor, 34, was found in a bedroom bleeding from the neck, Baker said. Minor was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

Baker said Lizzie Minor was taken into custody and questioned by homicide investigators, who recovered the knife identified as the weapon used.

After interviewing Lizzie Minor and witnesses, authorities placed her in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a murder warrant, baker said. Her bond was set at $80,000.
