Tuscaloosa deputies bust meth labs, make arrests

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama 
Tuscaloosa deputies recovered 29 one-pot meth labs from inside a residence in the 15000 block of Highway 216 on Sunday, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies went to the residence on a tip where they found the labs inside and outside of the residence.

The subjects at the residence -- including 38-year-old Roy Hyche, 27-year-old Brandy Short, 28-year-old Eddie Cook and 49-year-old Sheila Park -- were each charged with first-degree unlawful manufacturing with a $100,00 bond.

They were each also charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, with a $10,000 bond, and possession of drug paraphernalia, with a bond of $2,500.

Agents from the West Alabama Narcotics Squad also took part in the investigation.
