Dollar General (1060 West Main Street) robbed

Dothan, Al.
On January 10, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to an armed robbery in progress at Dollar General (1060 West Main Street).  Upon arrival, employees stated that a black male wearing all black clothing entered the store sometime around 8:30 p.m. armed with a handgun stating that he wanted money. The employee cooperated and gave the suspect and undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency after which the suspect appears to have fled on foot toward North Herring Street. Investigators responded to the scene and were able to view surveillance video evidence which matched the description given by the victim and further reveals that the suspect possibly wore a white belt and light colored underwear exposed by sagging pants. Police are asking anyone with information about the case or identity of the suspect to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.
