Project Lifesaver patient located

At approximately 2PM on Jan. 10, 2012, Deputies responded to the report of a Project Lifesaver patient who had walked away from family members. The Sheriff's Office helicopter was notified along with Sheriff’s Office Project Lifesaver personnel. TPD also responded and assisted in Belk department store. The Sheriff's Office helicopter identified a signal emitting from the person's transmitter coming from the Belk women’s store. Belk loss prevention was able to locate the subject, a WM, 77 years old, in the shoe section. He was reunited with family members.
