2 dead after separate house fires in south Ala.

GULF SHORES, Ala. (AP)
Authorities say two people are dead after separate house fires in Gulf Shores.
Baldwin County Coroner Stan Vinson told the Mobile Press-Register (http://bit.ly/o0POFK ) that Altie Kitchens died Monday morning in a fire at her home. He said the fire was likely started by Kitchens' stove.
Vinson said Kitchens' son-in-law pulled her from the burning home and tried to perform CPR. Kitchens was pronounced dead at the scene from smoke inhalation.
Authorities say Charles Seignious Jr. was found dead late Sunday night with his kitchen on fire. But officials believe the man died of natural causes before the fire started.
Vinson said Seignious likely started a late meal, sat down nearby and died. Vinson said the food continued to cook until a fire broke out.
Vinson said Siegnious' dog died in the fire.
