UPDATE: NEW CHARGES:Northport, Alabama resident arrested and charged with Third Degree Burglary

Braxton Connell, white male, 23 years of age, of Northport, Alabama was arrested and charged with Third Degree Burglary on September 5, 2011. The suspect has now been charged with Illegal Possession of a Credit Card, Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle and two additional counts of Third Degree Burglary with bonds totaling $200,000.

On September 5, 2011 the Dothan Police Department responded to the area of Hampton Way where residents of the area had detained a suspicious person who was loitering in a nearby wooded area. Upon arrival, police discovered the suspect was in possession of stolen items, some of which were stolen during a burglary which had occurred earlier on Hampton Way. The suspect, Braxton Connell was arrested for one count of burglary however police stated further charges were pending. Investigators have now signed four additional felonies against Connell. Three of the four counts were linked to three separate addresses on Hampton Way, the same location at which the suspect was originally located and charged.  The fourth charge follows a residential burglary which occurred on Ashborough Circle. Investigators have closed the cases solved by this arrest but have not closed the complete investigation and say further charges may still be pending.
