Lee downgraded but rains prompt watches, warnings in Montgomery area, elsewhere

Remnants of Tropical Storm Lee (now a depression) hovered over the River Region this morning and continue to bring wind, rain and flooding threats through mid-week, according to forecasters. (NOAA)
MONTGOMERY, Alabama
Northwestern Montgomery County and parts of Elmore County are under a flash flood warning this morning as remnants of Tropical Storm Lee (now a depression) hovered over the River Region.

Most of the state remains under a tornado watch through 4 p.m.

Today, showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 83. Breezy, with a southeast wind between 15 and 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.
