Decatur man hurt in alleged assault involving former Alabama player Rolando McClain says he was ambushed

DECATUR, Al.
The 23-year-old man assaulted Thursday in an incident involving former Alabama football player and current Oakland Raider Rolando McClain said he was ambushed.

Rishard Tapscott, 23, said he suffered several broken ribs, a broken nose and a mild concussion when he got into a fight with Jerradius Willingham in the 1000 block of Skyview Street.
Tapscott told police he was crawling to his car after the fight when McClain walked up and put a gun to his head. Tapscott begged McClain not to shoot and McClain took the gun away from his head and fired it next to his ear, police said.
McClain was charged with third degree assault, menacing, reckless endangerment and discharging a firearm inside the city limits, all misdemeanors, police said. Jerradius Willingham, 23, was also charged with third-degree assault.
