Eric Garibay, Hispanic male, 36 years of age, of East Selma Street was arrested and charged with Second Degree Possession of a Forged Instrument with a $15,000 bond.
On November 29, 2011 the Dothan Police Department responded to a suspicious circumstance which was investigated and has now led to a felony theft. The victim notified police he had recently placed a check in the mail as payment for a monthly bill. A short time later, the victim received an anonymous call from someone who informed him a third party had obtained his check and was attempting to cash it. Investigators have now identified and arrested Eric Garibay after confirming he was in possession of the check and had tried unsuccessfully to cash it.
