2 arrested in theft of $48,000 loader

Two Athens men accused of stealing a $48,000 compact track loader remained in the Limestone County Jail on Monday with bail set at $5,000 each on the felony charges.

Limestone County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Barran Casey Pugh, 40, of 14694 U.S. 72 West, and William Bradley Romine, 39, of 14726 Evans Road, Saturday afternoon. Each is charged with one count of first-degree theft, records show.

The two are accused of stealing a John Deere CT322 Skid Steer from a home on Snake Road, located in western Limestone County. Deputies had stopped the loader on the roadway when they received a call that it had just been reported stolen by the owner.

  1. My dad is a changed man and he has gave his heart to the lord and he is a trustworthy person and that is coming from his boss on work release i do miss him but he will be out soon and i will always love him until god takes him home.
