Florida Sex found hiding in Crossville, Al. attic

 Crossville, Al.
A registered sex offender from Florida was arrested Wednesday after he was found hiding in the attic of a Crossville residence.

Christopher Rodgers
Christopher Rodgers, 27, of St. Cloud, Fla., was arrested after DeKalb County Sheriff's deputies and investigators, along with Crossville Police officers and Drug Task Force agents, searched a College Street home, according to a news release from DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris.
The sheriff's office was contacted Tuesday by a Florida probation officer advising that Rodgers had left Florida and traveled to DeKalb County.
A probation violation warrant was issued Wednesday from the state of Florida, Osceola County, charging Rodgers with violating the conditions of his community control. An arrest warrant also was issued for failure to comply with the state's sex offender registration laws.
A Crossville resident reportedly was an old friend of Rodgers, and had made contact with him Dec. 23 while visiting family in Florida. Rodgers and his wife rode back to Crossville with the friend, and had been there since the day after Christmas.
Rodgers remains in the DeKalb County Detention Center awaiting an extradition hearing.
