Megabus.com to offer service in Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Al.
A curbside bus company is about to begin service from Atlanta to the Alabama cities of Birmingham, Montgomery and Mobile.

The company is called Megabus.com, plans to start Alabama service on Nov. 16. The company uses low fares and a no-frills business model in which it doesn't operate terminals, and customers typically board curbside or in a parking lot.

Megabus.com, a subsidiary of Coach USA, announced Oct. 25 that Atlanta was a new hub, allowing 11 new cities to be added to the 72 it already serves.
