KILLEN, Al.
Members of a mission group preparing to leave for Honduras in January are scurrying to gather donations and supplies for the second time after someone stole items they stored for the trip.
Tonya Holden, secretary at Gary's Chapel Freewill Missionary Baptist Church in Greenhill, said the items were discovered missing Sunday from the storage facility where the supplies were being housed.
The TimesDaily newspaper reports Holden says 1,000 pairs of flip flops, 160 large bottles of shampoo, 1,000 toothbrushes, 500 tubes of toothpaste and several hundred bars of soap were taken from the storage facility.
Holden says the burglars didn't take the boxes of Bibles stored in the facility.
