Three People Arrested For Disappearance, Death Of Missing Woman

A conclusion coming on Thursday to a very complex case, surrounding the disappearance of Amanda Taylor.  Three people have been charged with her disappearance and her death.
The three suspects are Ronald Eugene Weems, Laurel Ann Pruett and Matthew Richard Fox.

Weems

Weems, 33, is charged with murder and abuse of a corpse.

Pruett
Pruett, of Sheffield, is charged with murder and hindering prosecution.

 Fox
Fox, 21, of Florence, is charged with murder, hindering prosecution and abuse of a corpse

Taylor's sister reported her missing on October 19.  The arrest warrant accuses Weems of strangling Taylor with a nylon strap in the basement of his home.
Weems and Fox allegedly put the body in the trunk of a car, and Pruett is charged with helping cover up the slaying. Taylor's skeletal remains were discovered in Colbert County on Saturday, leading to the arrests.
Muscle Shoals Police executed a search warrant Tuesday on Moss Avenue, allowing them access to the house where the found additional evidence.
Amanda's family say this is not the outcome they were hoping for, but they are happy to now have closure.
"I would much rather they come calling me to tell me to come get her somewhere, but it wasn't meant to be," said Amanda's father Billy Leeth.  "Hopefully justice will prevail."
All three suspects remain behind bars inside the Muscle Shoals City Jail, awaiting transfer to the Colbert County Jail.  Bond is set at $500,000 each.
Police say they could make more arrests in the case.
