MOBILE, Al.
Nearly 2 dozen "known meth manufacturers and distributors" have been indicted in as a result of an undercover operation conducted by the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, spokeswoman Lori Myles said in a news release this morning.
The investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine and other controlled substances resulted in state and federal indictments and began in January 2011, Myles said.
The Sheriff's Office considers trafficking in methamphetamine an extreme danger to the community and this operation will remain active and ongoing with more indictments and arrests expected in the near future, said Myles.
