Two charged with theft from Phenix City School District

PHENIX CITY, AL.
The Phenix City Police Department investigated a theft and fraud complaint made by the Phenix City Board of Education.
Officials investigated a payroll discrepancy involving Sophie Anne King-Sellers, teacher substitute teacher, and Theressa Sanks, bookkeeper at Meadowlane Elementary School.
During this investigation warrants were issued for both Sellers and Sanks. Both women were arrested for Theft of Property 1st degree on Thursday.
This case remains under investigation and additional arrests may be pending.
