2-year-old Cullman boy drowns in pond

CULLMAN, Al.
A small child was pronounced dead as the result of an accidental drowning near Vinemont.

Noah Matthew Tolbert, 2, was pronounced dead at Cullman Regional Medical Center Wednesday night, almost a month away from his third birthday.

According to local officials, the toddler accidentally drown in a nearby pond after he wandered out of his home without anyone noticing.

Emergency responders attempted to resuscitate the child until emergency medical technicians arrived. Attempts to revive the toddler were continued for an hour after he arrived at CRMC.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but are being handled by Cullman Funeral Home.
