About 10:49 a.m. Monday, the female victim told police that she was driving in the 2600 block of Warsaw Avenue when an armed man ran up to her passenger window and demanded her purse. The robber fired one shot in the air, police said.
The suspect was last seen running south on Warsaw toward Main Street. The victim, who was not injured in the incident, drove away and called police.
Police identified Jamarius Antwan Ruffin, 20, as the suspect. He was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery.
