Three arrested for copper thefts in Marshall County

Guntersville, Al.
Three people are in custody after they were discovered Thursday morning allegedly stealing copper from the former Monte Sano plant near Guntersville, Marshall County Sheriff Scott Walls said.
The loss is believed to about $10,000 with the loss of copper and damage to the building.
Marshall County sheriff’s deputies responded to the call and stopped a vehicle in the area. Two people were inside the car, along with burglar tools and copper wiring.
A short time later, someone else was located inside the plant.
The three arrested are : LaJuana Kay Cook, 49, Guntersville; Joseph Franklin Daugette, 24, Boaz; and Anthony Leo Deerman, 39, Horton, were charged with burglary, theft and possession of burglar tools.
