Anniston Police : No ID yet on third house fire body

Anniston, Al.
Anniston police Wednesday were still waiting for a Huntsville laboratory to confirm the identity of a man found dead after a house fire on Belmont Road.

Police Lt. Fred Forsythe said late Wednesday the lab at the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences had not finalized results from the autopsy on the man’s body.

Two other people found dead after the house fire Monday afternoon were identified as Ruby Meads, 74, and her son Richard Wilson, 51.

Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown said they died of multiple stab wounds sometime around Thursday, Sept. 15. The third man is a relative of Meads and Wilson and a suspect in their deaths, Brown said Tuesday.

Elyse Mize, the daughter of Meads and sister of Wilson, said the two had been living in the east Anniston rental house for the past two years.
