Columbus police chase ends in suspect driving to jail in Al.

COLUMBUS, Georgia
A police chase in Columbus on Saturday night ended with the suspect driving himself to the jail.
Randell Lawarn Malone, 22, was arrested after leading Columbus police on a 20-minute chase that ended at the Russell County Sheriff's Office, which is beside the Russell County Jail in Phenix City.
Columbus officers were looking the man who robbed a Seale Road store, when 30 minutes later Malone ran a stop sign driving a car matching the description of the suspect's car, according to the report. When the officer turned on his lights, Malone took off, police say.
Malone was wanted for second-degree theft of property in a separate incident, police say, but he is not a suspect in the Saturday robbery. He now faces additional charges of attempting to elude police and traffic violations.
