Montgomery couple charged with Burglary and Theft in Eufaula

 Sheriff LeRoy Upshaw and Investigator Lt. David Morris of the Barbour County Sheriff's Dept. arrested a Montgomery, Alabama couple on August 22, 2011 for Burglary 3rd Degree and Theft Of Property 3rd Degree.  A pawn broker reported to the Sheriff's Dept. that a couple had been selling new items, some with the Walmart price tags still attached.

Sheriff Upshaw told Lt. Morris to immediately start investigating the concerns of the business owner .  Lt. Morris took the suspects information and the items in question into the Sheriff's Office possession. After further investigation,  Lt. Morris requested the Sheriff's assistance in an attempt to apprehend the suspects. On August 22, 2011, the couple was located inside Walmart and taken into custody.
Richard Devin Fulton, 26 and Deborah Lynn Fulton, 42 of Montgomery, AL. were each charged with one count of Burglary and Theft.
On September 13, 2011, Lt. Morris charged each suspect with four additional counts of Burglary 3rd Degree and Theft Of Property 3rd Degree. Their bond was set at $85,000.00 each.
Sheriff Upshaw stated that through an ongoing  investigation, it has been determined that other business in Eufaula have been burglarized and other items have been stolen by the couple.
 The couple has been living in motels in Eufaula for approximately three months, while committing the crimes according to Lt. Morris.
Lt. Morris is attempting to collect more evidence so additional charges can be brought against the couple.
