Melinda Rachel Lynem, white female, 39 years of age, of Cottonwood Road was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $ 2,500 bond.

On September 20, 2011 a Dothan Police Department Patrolmen conducted a routine traffic stop in the 1900 block of South Oates Street. During the course of the stop, the officer discovered the passenger was illegally in possession of multiple bottles of hydrocodone pills. Narcotic officers were called to the scene to take over the case. Investigators charged the suspect with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and say further charges are pending in this open investigation.
