An Albertville woman known for walking around town is in critical condition at Huntsville Hospital after she was struck by a train Tuesday morning.
Mary Daniels, 51, was struck by a six-car train pulled by two engines,said the police chief. The incident happened at about 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The Reported stated that Daniels initially got up and walked to an ambulance, but her condition deteriorated after she arrived at Marshall Medical Center South and was transferred to Huntsville Hospital.
