Barbour County Murder victim has been identified

Barbour County, Al.
The body of a white male was discovered on the side of Peacefull Valley Church Road in Barbour County around 4p.m. Saturday afternoon.. According to Barbour County Sheriff Leroy Upshaw, a nearby resident found the body. The Barbour County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Eufaula Police Department and Eufaula Fire and Rescue Squad, all responded.
Barbour County Coroner Chip Chapman has identified the victim as Marvin Kurt Nation, 45, of 116 Dogwood St. in Daleville. According to Sheriff Upshaw, Nation was shot several times, though he did not comment on where Nation was shot. “The case is being investigated as a homicide,” he stated in the release. We are still awaiting autopsy results from Montgomery.
According to Sheriff Upshaw, authorities have identified a “person of interest” in the shooting. The case remains under investigation by the Barbour County Sheriff's Department, the Barbour County District Attorney's Office and the Alabama Bureau of Investigation.
