Man shot by intended robbery victim released from hospital and jailed

MOBILE, Al.
A 20-year-old man who was shot by an intended robbery victim at the Pathway Apartments on Florida Street Friday was taken to Mobile County Metro Jail tonight after his release from the hospital, Mobile police said.

Donald Watts of Mobile was charged with first-degree robbery and was in jail without bail, according to jail records.
Police spokesman Cpl. Christopher Levy said the 26-year-old intended victim shot Watts outside one of the apartment units shortly before 1 p.m.
Watts was taken to University of South Alabama Medical center after the shooting and was released late this afternoon, Levy said. The intended victim was not injured, and neither was a man who was standing with him when Watts appeared, Levy said.
