Fake ad seller's cases to go to Baldwin County grand jury

BAY MINETTE, Al.
A grand jury will review theft charges against a Gulf Shores man accused of selling advertisements on a fake website.
Michael Francis Hagan
The cases against Michael Francis Hagan, 54, were forwarded for grand jury review after District Court Judge Jody Bishop on Thursday ruled there was enough evidence. Hagan faces one count each of first-degree theft by deception and first-degree theft of property along with multiple counts of second-degree theft.
On Friday, Bishop denied a motion to amend Hagan’s bail.
The U.S. Marshals’ Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force tracked Hagan down in Kentucky and arrested him in August.
According to Daphne police, Hagan had been going around Baldwin County for the past several years and soliciting money from businesses but never providing any type of advertisement.
Hagan remained in the Baldwin County Corrections Center on Friday with bail set at $40,000, according to jail records.
