Michael Albert Glenn, black male, 28 years of age, of Kornegay Street was arrested and charged with Third Degree Burglary with a $2,500 bond
On October 11, 2011 the Dothan Police Department responded to a possible burglary in progress call at Levite Funeral Home located at 814 Headland Avenue. The caller advised he saw a male who was acting suspiciously and had gone to the rear of the building out of sight. Patrol officers responded to the scene and were searching the grounds when they noticed a duffle bag lying beside a crawl space which accessed the underside of the building. A police canine was called to the scene where the handler gave the suspect an opportunity to surrender by shouting into the crawl space that the dog would be used to search the area. In response to the handler’s warning, the suspect quickly surrendered to police and was taken into custody. Investigators responded and collected the suspects’ bag which contained a knife and crow bar the suspect was using to steal copper wiring from the business.
