Officials say two people wanted in an attack in Georgia have been captured in Gadsden and are being held at the Etowah County jail.
Capt. Regina May pf the Gadsden Police Department says 20-year-old Xaia Wallace and 23-year-old Frederick Brown were arrested early Saturday at Gadsden Inn and Suites in connection with an attack on 44-year-old Terrance Ryals, who was taken to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tenn. For treatment.
The Etowah County sheriff's office said Monday the two are being held, awaiting extradition to Georgia.
The two are suspected in an attack last week on a man in Epworth, near the Tennessee state line.
Fannin County sheriff's officers say the two face charges of aggravated assault, arson and other charges.
